Carolyne Scott Biography

A confident woman with long black hair wearing a stylish black blazer.

Carolyne Scott is more than a performer—she is a living testament to resilience, transformation, and purpose. Raised within Milwaukee’s foster care system, Carolyne learned early how to survive. What the world did not expect was how beautifully she would rise. Through music and storytelling, she transformed adversity into artistry, carving her way onto some of the most meaningful stages in Las Vegas and beyond.

A gifted singer, songwriter, actress, and live entertainer, Carolyne has released original music including Stay, Blackgirl, and Tired—deeply personal songs that explore identity, healing, love, and self-worth. Her music has garnered attention from outlets such as MTV and respected music publications, resonating with listeners who hear their own stories reflected in her voice. Known for her powerful vocals, emotional authenticity, and commanding stage presence, Carolyne delivers performances that do more than entertain—they connect, inspire, and leave lasting impressions.

Her artistry extends beyond music into film and theater, with acting credits including Deeper Than Law, When Things Go Left 2, For a Fee, and No-Knock. On stage, she has captivated audiences in productions such as Dreamgirls, Once on This Island, and Violet, bringing depth, vulnerability, and strength to every role she portrays.

Carolyne is especially celebrated for her work as a Tina Turner tribute artist and is widely recognized as one of the youngest performers in America to honor the legendary Tina Turner. She is currently the only woman in Las Vegas producing and starring in her own one-woman Tina Turner tribute production. For the past three years, she has maintained a weekly Las Vegas residency at the LaMarre Theater in Downtown Las Vegas, where audiences experience an electrifying celebration of Tina Turner’s music, spirit, and legacy. More than imitation, Carolyne’s performance is a heartfelt homage that blends storytelling, powerhouse vocals, and raw emotion.

Her impact on the entertainment community has earned her widespread recognition, including being named Las Vegas Black Music Awards Entertainer of the Year for three consecutive years—2023, 2024, and 2025—solidifying her reputation as one of the city’s premier live performers.

Beyond the spotlight, Carolyne Scott is a dedicated foster care advocate, deeply committed to mentorship and community service. As a Stage Performance Teacher for the youth program It’s Only the Beginning through ItsGorgeousMusique, she helps young artists develop confidence, discipline, and stage presence. She advocates for homeless and foster youth, serving as a powerful example that circumstances do not determine destiny.

From national tours to international performances, including a residency in Kyoto, Japan, Carolyne’s journey continues to inspire audiences around the world. Her story is one of perseverance, faith, and purpose—a reminder that no matter where life begins, greatness remains possible.

Carolyne Scott is the embodiment of becoming: a woman who turned survival into song, adversity into art, and her voice into a beacon of hope. Every note she sings carries the same message: you can rise, you can heal, and you can become somebody new.
